As a MOSFET, I can control the flow of current through my channel by manipulating the electric field in my gate region. The gate is like a switch that can turn the MOSFET on or off. When a voltage is applied to the gate, it creates an electric field that attracts or repels electrons in the channel between my source and drain regions. By changing the voltage on my gate, I can control the flow of electrons and switch on and off very quickly.
In other words, when the voltage applied to my gate is high enough, it allows current to flow from my source to my drain. But when the voltage is low, it blocks the flow of current.
